Freeport A’Famosa Outlet is a collaboration with Freeport Retail – a London based global manager and investor in the outlet industry — and was officiated on 28^th January 2016 by Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia accompanied by Datuk Seri Ir. Haji Idris Bin Haji Haron, Chief Minister of Melaka. The Dutch heritage design was conceptualized by the Melaka state government and was designed by a leading Australian architect.
